Get Receipt

Legal

Acceptable use

Get Receipt is for legitimate, seller-owned receipts. Use it only to document completed sales made by you or the business you are authorized to represent.

Effective July 25, 2026

The seller-owned boundary

Every receipt must represent a real transaction completed by the account owner or the business they are authorized to represent. Do not use Get Receipt to create proof of purchase from another merchant or to document a sale you did not make.

The template gallery uses fictional merchants and clearly labeled samples. Those previews are for choosing a layout, not for presenting as transaction records.

Permitted uses

  • Recording a completed sale made by your own business.
  • Providing a customer with an accurate record of their payment to you.
  • Correcting an honest error in a receipt for a sale your business completed.
  • Previewing fictional, clearly labeled samples to choose a receipt layout.

Prohibited uses

You must not use Get Receipt to:

  • Fabricate or alter proof of purchase for a purchase that did not happen or a sale your business did not make.
  • Impersonate another merchant, copy a third-party brand, or imply an affiliation you do not have.
  • Mislead an employer, customer, insurer, bank, payment provider, marketplace, tax authority, court, or government body.
  • Support dishonest reimbursement, expense, insurance, refund, chargeback, accounting, or tax claims.
  • Break a law, infringe another person's rights, or include personal data you have no right to use.
  • Probe, disrupt, overload, or bypass the security of Get Receipt or another system.
  • Upload malware, automate abusive traffic, or use the service to harm another person.
