Restaurant guest check template
The itemised bill brought to the table before payment, with covers, server and a suggested-tip ladder.
This is a generic industry format — the printing convention, not any company’s trade dress. You supply your own business identity; Get Receipt supplies the grid it prints on.

The character grid is the printer’s, not an approximation: at 203 dpi a Font A cell is 12 × 24 dots, so 576 dots of printable width is exactly 48 characters. Anything you render has to land on integer dot multiples or the edges blur.
Ordered field list
Top of the document to the bottom. This is the order a reader expects and the order a scanner, a bookkeeper or a returns desk looks for.

Alignment
Two-column. Modifier lines indent two spaces under the dish they belong to and are priced, or marked as no charge.
Tax convention
Exclusive. Prepared food may carry a second, higher rate than the general rate, printed as its own named line.
Tender
None — the guest check precedes payment. The card slip that follows is a separate document.
Machine-readable code
Rarely present; a QR to pay or to leave a review appears on some.

Table-service guest check with a gratuity line and a customer signature rule under the total. Every total is recomputed by the engine from the line items, so the printed lines always sum to the printed total — the one thing generated receipts most often get wrong.
