Common questions
- Can I reissue a receipt for a lost order email?
- Yes, and it should carry the original order number and the original date, not today’s. Mark it as a duplicate so it can never be mistaken for a second sale.
- Does a wholesale order need a different receipt?
- It needs the buyer’s resale certificate number and a $0.00 tax line rather than an absent one. A sale for resale with no tax row at all is what makes an audit trail fail.
- Who owes the tax on a marketplace sale?
- In most states the marketplace facilitator collects and remits it, and your receipt should reflect what was actually charged rather than restating a rate. For an off-platform sale, the duty is yours.
Card details on this receipt
Get Receipt prints at most four card digits and has no expiry field anywhere in the app. FACTA forbids printing more than the last five digits, or the expiration date at all, on a cardholder receipt — so a violating receipt is not something this tool can be made to produce, by hand or by the assistant.
