Common questions
- Should modifiers be their own lines?
- Yes — indented under the drink they belong to, priced. A $0.70 oat milk folded into the latte price makes the menu price on the tape disagree with the menu on the wall, which is the single most common counter dispute.
- Is a bag of beans taxed the same as a latte?
- Often not. Whole beans can fall under a grocery exemption while the prepared drink is taxed at the general or prepared-food rate. That is exactly the case for a taxable/non-taxable subtotal split on the tape.
- What goes in the receipt QR code?
- A short link — an e-receipt permalink, a survey seeded with the store and transaction, or loyalty enrolment. Keep the payload short: a long URL pushes the module count past what a narrow tape can print legibly.
Card details on this receipt
Get Receipt prints at most four card digits and has no expiry field anywhere in the app. FACTA forbids printing more than the last five digits, or the expiration date at all, on a cardholder receipt — so a violating receipt is not something this tool can be made to produce, by hand or by the assistant.
